Naz Bahmani
Hi, I’m Naz.
I’m a movie critic for parents of teens, and I believe the stories our teenagers love can help us understand them better.
Movies and TV aren’t just entertainment. They reflect the emotions, friendships, fears, dreams, and questions teenagers are navigating as they grow up. When we pay attention to the stories they connect with, we learn more about how they see themselves and the world around them.
That’s why I created The Parental Lens.
While most reviews focus on whether a movie is worth watching, I look beyond the plot. I explore the emotional themes, family dynamics, and teenage experiences behind every story so parents can better understand what their teenager may be seeing, feeling, and taking away from it.
Every review is written with one goal: helping parents better understand their teenagers and turn movie night into meaningful conversations.
Because some of the most important conversations don’t happen during the movie. They begin after the credits roll.
I’m glad you’re here.
